OotDL worked with the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering and JFAK Architects to design the replacement pool and bathhouse in Van Ness Park.  The seasonal pool provides generous deck space and a water slide to escape rising heat in this South LA neighborhood. A spray plaza provides water fun and a place to cool off outside the pool enclosure.  The sustainable landscape collects and retains storm water on site.  Drought tolerant plantings reduce potable water use.  Highly reflective paving colors will also help to mitigate heat island impacts.
